Sri Lanka Aikido Association was established in 2001 by Shihan Tadashi Komenoi (6th Dan) & maintains Sri Lanka's Aikido relationship with Aikikai Aikido head-quaters (Hombu) Japan. The gradings are done at the dojo by visiting instructors from Hombu. Their President & Chief instructor is Ajith D. Goonetilleke (4th Dan), and the Sub Chief Instructor is Gamini Wickramaratna (4th Dan).
