Thaabit Ahmed first set up the Academy in 2009 with 5 students and now has students ranging from 3 to 18 years old across 4 competitive age groups. Thaabit has extensive experience playing and coaching at Colombo International School, Asian International School, Overseas School, at the British High Commission and more recently as Head Coach at the British School in Colombo. He has played for some of Sri Lanka’s most successful clubs including Saunders SC and the Navy. As well as providing a range of affordable professionally-run football programmes for children from the age of 2 upwards, TAFA has a number of national and international links and regularly organizes visiting tours from schools and clubs abroad. These tours provide exciting footballing and social opportunities for young footballers in the Colombo area. In order to achieve the best for all the children concerned, the Academy is committed to working closely with parents.
