Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) is a national governing body of tennis in Sri Lanka, which represents Sri Lanka on the world curtain of tennis and on associations like International Tennis Federation and Asian Tennis Federation. Its main aim is to popularize Tennis in all parts of Sri Lanka as a Professional Sport and to produce top tennis player from the land of Sri Lanka. Tennis was introduced to Sri Lanka by the British. The History of the association began when a few planters and tennis enthusiasts met together to form the Ceylon Lawn Tennis Association in 1915.
