Burgher Recreation Club is a first-class cricket and hockey club based in Colombo. The club was founded on 26 December 1896 known as the Bambalapitya Recreation Club. It's mission is to provide members with affordable recreation and entertainment facilities to be enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere, whilst encouraging and facilitating the key sports activities of cricket, hockey and billiards/snooker to be played at the highest levels.
