What is Zouk Lambada?
Some say if tango was the dance of the twentieth century, as it has often been referred, zouk is the dance of the twenty-first century, as there is no other dance around today that better reflects the world as it is now perceived as being a "global village.”
Many people remember lambada by the film “The Forbidden Dance”, or the hit song “Lambada” by Kaoma in 1989. Zouk Lambada aka Brazilian Zouk is a dance that developed from the Brazilian dance Lambada. The dance is now combined with a variety of music, and elements from other styles such as jazz, ballet, hiphop, modern, African and contemporary dance among others.
